CV VISION x EMBRYO
ROTE SONNE - MUNICH
As we enter new territory and bring our psychedelic experience into ROTE SONNE CLUB for the first time, Embryo and CV Vision come together for a night that bridges generations of adventurous music. While Embryo have spent decades redefining the possibilities of jazz, krautrock and global improvisation, CV-Vision channels a more contemporary vision into immersive sonic journeys.
CV Vision is the Berlin-based project of multi-instrumentalist Dennis Schulze who will be joined by his band. Drawing inspiration from kosmische music, library records, dub, proto-techno, psychedelic rock and experimental electronics, Schulze creates densely layered compositions built from live instrumentation, tape manipulation and heavy rhythmic structures.
Embryo is one of the most influential and enduring collectives to emerge from Germany’s krautrock and improvisational music scene. Founded in 1969 by Christian Burchard, the group developed a unique musical language connecting jazz, psychedelic rock, free improvisation and musical traditions from across the world. Today led by Marja Burchard, Embryo continues to evolve as a constantly shifting collective dedicated to spontaneity, cultural exchange and musical freedom.

FEEL FREE ENERGY
A TRIBUTE TO DAMO SUZUKI with BO NINGEN & JAN ST. WERNER
GRETCHEN - BERLIN
Damo Suzuki, known worldwide as the singer of the Krautrock pioneers CAN, shaped generations of musicians through his uncompromising openness, his unique art of improvisation, and his later international network project, through which he inspired thousands of musicians in over 40 countries. His voice was “Feel Free Energy” in its purest form—spontaneous, boundless, poetic, and unmistakable.
For this tribute, the band Bo Ningen and Jan St. Werner come together to pay homage to Damo’s boundary-pushing philosophy and his enduring legacy.
The London-based Japanese band Bo Ningen is one of the most vibrant live acts on the international alternative and experimental rock scene. With their own take on psychedelic rock, noise, improvisation, and performance art, they effortlessly navigate the realms of music, visual art, and the avant-garde.
Their raw and unpredictable performances have earned them an international reputation as one of the most fascinating live bands in the UK and as a beacon of Japanese counterculture. Bo Ningen has collaborated with Damo Suzuki on several occasions. As true “Sound Carriers,” they carry on his spiritual work and walk the path that Damo carved into the musical landscape.
Jan St. Werner, co-founder of the legendary electronic duo Mouse on Mars, is one of Germany’s most significant sound artists and producers. His work spans electronic music, improvisation, fine art, and experimental composition. For decades, he has played a decisive role in shaping the international electronic music scene.
Feel Free Energy is more than a concert. It is a musical encounter with Damo’s spirit, his art, and the energy he brought into the world throughout his life.
Damo Suzuki understood music not as a performance, but as a form of communication.
This evening embraces his vision and carries it forward.

MAYA ONGAKU
JAPAN - Guruguru Brain Records
IMPORT EXPORT - MUNICH
Hailing from the seaside communities surrounding Enoshima, a small island located 50 km southwest of Tokyo, Maya Ongaku is a ragtag collective of local musicians whose brand of earthy psychedelia transcends widely beyond the roots of their inner souls. The name derives not from any kind of ancient civilization, but rather a neologism defined as the imagined view outside one’s field of vision. The band—currently a trio of Tsutomu Sonoda, Ryota Takano, and Shoei Ikeda—finds sanctuary at the Ace General Store, a beachy vintage shop and salon-like space just hidden from sight from the bustling, touristy riverside Subana Street. Between discussions on music and art, curating the vinyl section and manning the register, and chatting
up with locals young and old, the members find time to jam and record their spontaneous ideas in the studio tucked away in the back. It’s in this unlikely setting where Maya Ongaku finds its origins, the culmination of what Sonoda describes as 自然発生 (shizen hassei), meaning spontaneous generation, or the supposed production of living organisms from nonliving matter.

СОЮЗ (SOYUZ)
MILLA - MUNICH
СОЮЗ (SOYUZ) is a creative collective originally from Minsk, Belarus, that was founded by multi-instrumentalists Alex Chumak, the band's composer and principal arranger, and Mikita Arlou. After moving to Warsaw, Poland in 2022, they were joined by drummer Albert Karch and guitarist Igor Wiśniewski. The name of the band is translated as “union”, which reflects the creative nature of the relationship between its members and their collaborators. While the recordings of SOYUZ feature a wider array of instruments, live performances are reimagined by the quartet. They include musical insights from all the performers and leave room for collective improvisation.
Following the success of “Force of the Wind”, “KROK” has further cemented SOYUZ’ international reputation as a constantly evolving and adventurous music collective, with positive reviews from KEXP and Allmusic, features in TURN, &Premium, Radio FIP (who also added the album to their “Sélection FIP”), Songlines Magazine, DW Brasil, Worldwide FM, and airplay on KEXP, KCRW, BBC Radio 6, SWR, Radio Canada, NTS Radio and more. An international tour promoting the album started in February 2026, featuring often sold out shows in renowned venues such as London’s Jazz Cafe, Stockholm’s Fasching, Brussels’ Botanique, Amsterdam’s Paradiso, Zurich’s Moods and many more. The band also recorded a live performance for Giles Peterson at the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios. The next leg of their 2026 tour will take them to many new places and well known venues around Europe.

LITTLE BARRIE
ROTE SONNE - MUNICH
Cast in the grand tradition of great British rock bands, and fueled by a love of American blues, funk and soul,
Little Barrie’s sixth studio album is the first released solely under the band’s own name since the death of drummer Virgil Howe in September 2017. The LP follows more than two decades of activity that have established the band as a key force in UK psychedelic rock and soul. Following Howe’s passing, Cadogan and founding bassist Lewis Wharton placed the future of the band on hold. After initial plans to resume playing were disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the pair began collaborating with long-time friend
Malcolm Catto (The Heliocentrics). This partnership resulted in two albums, Quatermass Seven (2020) and Electric War, released on Easy Eye Sound in April 2025. For Gravity Freeze, the hooks are sharper, the grooves are deeper, and the atmospherics thicker, building on the band’s previous, highly-acclaimed work.
